Our story
From racing to comfort at sea
At ALAIA Sailing, the sea isn't just our job; it's our way of life. We've spent years sailing the waters of the Atlantic, taking on the wind and learning from every wave.
Our 8- and 12-seat boats aren't ordinary pleasure craft. They're the same yachts our team proudly races in the most demanding regattas in the Canary Islands. Every line trimmed, every manoeuvre and every mile raced has taught us what true nautical excellence means.
Why are we telling you this?
Because the same discipline, technical rigour and top safety standards we demand to win a regatta are the ones we apply every day on our 4-hour trips. When you step aboard ALAIA Sailing, you're not just booking a boat trip: you're enjoying a perfectly maintained, fast and safe yacht, skippered by professional sailors who know every secret of the Lanzarote coast.
We swap the adrenaline of the finish line for the calm of a glass of Malvasía wine at anchor in unspoilt coves. We invite you to experience the sea like the pros, but with all the comfort you deserve.

What sailing with us is like
-
01
Welcome
We'll be waiting for you at Marina Lanzarote, in Arrecife, with parking inside the marina and everything ready to cast off.
-
02
Full sail
We hoist the sails and feel the strength of the trade winds. If you like, we'll hand you the helm.
-
03
Anchor and swim
We anchor in crystal-clear water: swimming, snorkelling and an aperitif with island produce.
-
04
Back to port
We sail back under the Lanzarote sun. Departure and arrival at the same port.
Who's at the helm
Your skipper and owner
At the helm of this project is Patricio Aldecoa Sendagorta, although everyone calls him Paddy.
A sailor since 1996 with more than 20 years of experience teaching sailing, the sea isn't just his profession, it's his way of life. Every trip, every manoeuvre and every decision on board is backed by years of real sailing and hands-on knowledge.
